Event Tip: Donaukanaltreiben 2014
Summer in Vienna means lots of outside activities. Open Air bars have opened their gates and people enjoy their after-work cocktail outside in a sun chair. The Donaukanal (close to the city center) has developed into the perfect opportunity to do just that. Once a year the Donaukanal turns into a open air bar with concert stages. This year the event is taking place from 23 to 25 May.

14 locations take part and the event stretches over several kilometers. To get from one location to the next visitors can make use of a boat taxi that connects all the participating locations. There they can participate in workshops, yoga lessons and jazz brunches. Culinary highlights from many different corners of the world complete the event. Of course, the event also recognizes with a public viewing the need of all soccer fans to watch the Champions League Final.
During these three days the visitor can also experience a number of great Austrian bands including I-Wolf and the Chainreactions as well as Francis International Airport.
